We all, at some point, need to get people to do something they don't want to do. People are often pent-up on emotion and don't recognize much beyond their own perception. So, in order to get what you need from them, you may have to apply one of these 4 psychological techniques. The first psychological technique is to use their insecurities against them. In order to use their insecurities against them, you will have to identify all areas that are a threat to any position, power or influence they carry. You will also need to identify what situation will work best on the individual that will place them under the most pressure. The goal is to make the individual fear the consequences of not complying with your wishes. This could include exposing any negative actions of theirs, showing them the consequences that may be taken against them; loss of personal validation or reputation and loss of position.
