Constructive Anger
We all go through situations where we have suffered a wrong at the hands of someone else...
When people do you wrong, they respond by either apologizing (taking accountability), defending, or denying what they've done; Some are smug enough to actually believe they've done some sort of right through their activity...
Then you react—as you have every right to...
Then they get even with you for reacting —and all of a sudden play the victim, because you called them out! (This is where the calamity they caused forms a part of their perceived innocence...more on this below.)
They have no moral code — and are out of touch with how their actions affect others.
People who deny what they've done—do so easily — because they are only in touch with their own emotions; not the emotions of those they injured. They try to dictate how you should feel—based on their emotions (they are the deciding factor as to how you ought to feel)—Nope!
There are 2 types of anger: one is destructive, the other is constructive:
Destructive anger is when you feel the need to get even. This is where you let your anger become a danger to to the person who caused you wrong. Violence is never the answer because it doesn't bring out the "righteous" in the individual — it only brings out the beast in you.
You don't want to do this— because you lose all innocence in the situation.
Constructive anger is not a call to get even, but a call to action!
First, feel your anger—then you align your thoughts and feelings to what is right.
Gather information to support your position—and prove the wrong that was done against you.
This is what I call 'righteous anger'.
Then, confront the person.
Let them know what their actions were, the harm they caused, then let them know how it made you feel.
A good person will listen — and go the distance to make it right.
If it is denied, it's time to develop a backing — by exposing the wrong.
This is another call to action— because this is where you expose the wrong to others — and have someone else confront them.
This person will reinforce that they did wrong— and their actions caused harm — and that their denial is poor judgment.
The purpose of constructive anger is to raise the individual's self-awareness level, so they have a clear understanding that what they did was wrong, and how their actions affected you.
People who never take accountability will always react as though you caused them harm. Little do they know the "hell" is already living inside of them—and that is what is causing them to be disturbed. Most often, when confronted, they will accuse you of causing trouble. This is where you stand your ground and reinforce to them that they are the ones who caused trouble; you are representing the truth that they haven't dealt with yet.
Those who are in the right are in a position of power — and this is the highest form of power because it forces a reaction — even if the reaction reveals a hatred toward you! At this, you know that their intentions were to injure— it is best to abandon the individual altogether.
We do live in a world where what is right—wins!
There are 3 types of justice:
1) The system—you are a convicted criminal;
2) God's judgment—you go against the Golden Rule;
3) Self examination/judgment—you judge yourself based on high standards such as the Holy Bible or the Business Code of Ethics.
When integrity lives inside of someone, they are cautious as to how their actions affect others:
They are cautious to do what is right.
They continually question how this will affect others.
They examine truth over their own wants.
We don't always 'win souls' — some are just doomed to destruction.
The bottom line is it is far better to maintain your innocence and integrity because the righteous always wins!
People do deny what they've done, but remember, those who are in the wrong suffer—because they have to deal with the mess they create in every area of their life (finances/business/relationships). This too is where they play the victim and generate pity from others.
Let your anger be your propeller. Let your motivation to be your fuel. Let what is right have it's say — it is there you will rise above all wrong (those who have wronged you)💗
