Positive Emotions

 

We are prompted to monitor our emotions especially in times of trial.

Most of those times, we're monitoring negative emotions — but we also need to maintain balance with positive ones.

Although we go through trials, we are not victims—but overcomers!

Here is a list of positive emotions to ponder when monitoring them.

1. Admiration — A feeling that contends with someone who recognizes qualities in another.

2. Abundance — A feeling that comes from enjoying your excess without guilt or remorse.

3. Achievement — A feeling you get when you accomplished something you didn't think was possible.

4. Affection — A warm feeling directed toward someone or a pet.

5. Attraction — This is the feeling you get in response to an interesting and/or attractive person.

6. Altruism — A feeling you get when demonstrate concern for the less fortunate.

7. Amusement — A feeling you get when experiencing something incredible.

8. Awe — Think of admiration, gratitude and love with reverence (as such towards the LORD).

9. Bliss — A feeling of deep satisfaction regardless of status.

10. Bold — This is the emotion that accompanies you when you "do it regardless of how afraid you are"!

11. Cheer — A shout of approval, encouragement, or congratulation.

12. Compassion — A feeling of empathy or sympathy in response to the sufferings of others.

13. Confidence — A feeling of self-assuredness.

14. Connectedness — This is the emotion that accompanies you when you have that sense of "inclusion".

15. Contentment — A feeling of satisfaction regardless of not having a lot (or sometimes enough).

16. Curiosity — A feeling you get when something has captured your interest.

17. Delight — Delight is sensation you feel when you are enjoying yourself (in the moment).

18. Eagerness — A feeling you get when you want to do something now.

19. Elevation — The feeling you get when you go above and beyond the normal.

20. Empowerment — A feeling you get when you've got this "in the bag"!

21. Enjoyment — This emotion accompanies you when you do the things you love (hobby, crafting working-out).

22. Enthusiasm — A feeling an energy and optimism.

23. Euphoric — A great feeling (well-being).

24. Excitement — A feeling of anticipation.

25. Fascination — A feeling of intense interest.

26. Freedom — Elevation above life's troubles.

27. Friendship — A feeling that develops with mutual understanding.

28. Forgiveness — The willingness to suffer the wrong because you are aware of the Power of love..

29. Generosity — A feeling you get when you use your resources for the benefit of another.

30. Gratitude — A feeling of thankfulness for the goodness in your life.

31. Goodwill — A feeling of wanting good for others (even those you dislike)!

32. Harmony — Peaceful feelings...

33. Hope — Hope is a feeling of more than just a wish—because you see the potential for the manifestation of it.

34. Happiness — A feeling of well-being regardless of things going your way.

35. Importance — A feeling you get when someone recognizes you.

36. Inspiration — A feeling you get when you are mentally stimulated to do, or to create something.

37. Interest — A feeling of wanting to know more about something or someone that has caught your attention.

38. Joyfulness — A feeling of pleasure in the midst of the mundane.

39. Kindness — A feeling you get when you go out of your way for another (maybe a stranger).

40. Love — The feeling you get when you've had a profound affect on someone, and it made a difference in their lives.

41. Momentum — A satisfied feeling you get when your actions are making a an impact.

42. Optimism — A feeling you get when you are able to manage the downside (I've got this!).

43. Passion — Passion is pass-on until you put the "I" in it! The "keep-going" feeling you get when you refuse to stop, until you've gotten what you've worked for!

44. Pride — A strong appreciation for your work, worth or dignity.

45. Relief — A feeling that washes over you when a trial comes to completion.

46. Revelation — A feeling you get when you experience a life-changing truth (an epiphany).

47. Romance — A feeling you get when you’re sharing mutual affection with someone.

48. Satisfaction — A feeling of approval with regard to an experience or a project.

49. Serenity — Calmness of mind in the midst of difficulty.

50. Spontaneity — The emotion that compels you to do something or go somewhere at the spur-of-the-moment. 

51. Surprise — A feeling of astonishment over an unexpected gift or experience.

52. Triumph — A feeling you get when you've achieved something great.

52. Unity — The feeling you get when you are with like-minded friends.

53. Wholeness — A feeling you get when nothing is missing!

55. Worthiness — A knowing that no matter what — you are good enough— and you deserve good things.
