The Intrepid Soul

You've heard it said "people respond to fear more than they respond to love". Next to anger, fear is the main emotion people respond to the most. Fearor rather worry, is capable of governing our livesand not in a good way! Fear can make the most responsible person do irresponsible things.

In order to become fearless, you first need to know what fear actually is. According to the dictionary, fear is a distressing emotion, aroused by impending dangerwhether the threat is real or imagined.

In reality, fear, is an emotion, that you've attached, to a discouraging thought!

Unfortunately, people are guided by fearbelieving they have protective qualitieswhen in fact, they don't.
Not only that, fear shelters you and keeps you from many freedoms that you will never experience, until you abolish them.

In order to become the intrepid soul you so desire to be, you need to get a hold of your thoughts and bring them under complete control.

Wisdom and emotion are in opposition with each otherand since they are, I highly recommend you turn your mind to wise and inspiring material (motivational video's, books or the Bible) so wisdom is present in your time of need. This will prevent you from acting upon emotion.

I see many people live by feeling as opposed to fact. Those emotions have a way of validating the fear you've been tricked into believing. Knowing you've been trickedeven if it's been by your own mind, should concern you!

This is the second step into becoming fearless.

In order to fear less, you need to stop the cares that mentally feast on your mind.

I know people that spend every waking moment worrying about everything...

Society encourages worry.... you can't go online without being bombarded with health and money woes; which brings us to the third step in becoming fearlessstop paying attention to the news/politics/articles that encourage fear!

One thing people do the least is direct their thoughtsif they do that at all! (You're probably thinking "HUH"?)

Think about this; worry (fear) is like a weed that sprouts wherever it will. As weeds on a golf course, they need to be pulled from the root. If not, the weeds affect the condition of the golf coursemaking it unplayable. Now imagine what discouraging thoughts do to your mind/life...

When you redirect your thoughts, you are strengthening your mind and emotions. Your emotions get stronger the less you use them (wisdom replaces emotion). I personally have put this into practiceso I know it can be done. The key is to meet every discouraging thought with your inner power (passion for a better outcome)before fear can attach itself to the discouraging thought.

Much of what you fear actually conditions you to face reality. Why you may ask? Because your inner power is required of you! This is called "Living Life To The Fullest"!

Performing this is the fourth step to abolishing your fears.

People who do nothing, get even less out of life.

Action is the antidote to fearand that is the absolute truth!

You may be thinking, "okay, much, if not all of what I fear is out of my control"?!?

This is where I call BS! You are not a piece in a cosmic puzzle that is in the control of someone else — your life is the puzzle that you piece together! Guess what? You areand have been in complete control, all along!

If you feel as though you are not in controlit's your own fault for waiting for someone, or on something, to "work things out for you". It's not up to someone else or some event to solve your issues/problems; it's up to you to work things out for yourself.

Many people who don't take action refuse to, because they have this false belief that someone else is responsible for their problems. My question is "if you have a problem" why do you pin it on someone else? This is your problem! This means that 'life' assigned this issue to you, and no one else. Guess what? You are the only one who is called to solve itand the only way to do that, is to apply your inner strength!

People fear for one reason and one reason onlythey have a false belief they have no powerwhen in fact they do; they just have never used it affectively.

This is the fifth and final step in becoming The Intrepid Soul—that will inspire others to do the same.

You will know the intrepid soul by their silent footsteps and watchful eyes that whisper tales of stealth and observationteaching the virtues of discretion and discernment.

In the stillness of their presence, one learns the art of seeing without looking, understanding without speaking, face difficulty without poorly reacting. This is the essence of true wisdom.
